Digital nomads are set to flock to the Thai city of Chiang Mai in February 2017 to discuss business models, productivity tricks, travel hacks and money-making techniques in a series of 20-minute TED-style talks at the annual Nomad Summit.

This will be the third Nomad Summit, an increasingly popular event for the globe’s ever-increasing tribe of entrepreneurial digital nomads. Run by digital nomads for digital nomads, the event attracts an eclectic array of speakers from around the world.

“I don’t know many places where you can be in a room with entrepreneurs that have traveled the world, sold companies for $XX Million, built a fashion brand with a social mission from the ground up, or gone from not having enough cash for a flight home to making 5 figures a month online. And then be able to walk right up to them after the talk and say ‘Hi’.”
Biron Clark, Digital Nomad

Slow travellers and entrepreneurial success

Speakers at previous events have included Johnny FD, founder of the Nomad Summit and host of the Travel Like a Boss podcast, and co-organiser of the Nomad Summit Cody McKibben, founder of Future Hero Consulting and self-styled slow traveller. Others include YouTube entrepreneur Sean Lee, who talked about how to implement a four hour work week with a lean online business, entrepreneur and angel investor Sam Marks who built a $100m business as a digital nomad, and entrepreneurship educator Marcus Lucas.

The speakers for the 2017 event are yet to be announced, but it looks set to be another conference full of inspiration, entrepreneurial dreams and digital nomad success stories.
