Foam presents Foam Talents at Red Hook Labs in Brooklyn, New York, during the 37th edition of The Photography Show from 30 March to 16 April 2017.
Foam Talents is a yearly group exhibition featuring 24 young artists – all under the age of 35 – shaping the future of photography. This is the first time Foam Talents will be featured in New York.
Foam Talents is a yearly event organised by Foam to identify young photography talents. Just 24 were selected out of the 1,494 submissions from across the world. As well as the classic photography exhibition set-up, photo-objects, installations, beamers, lightboxes and wallpapers will be featured. The exhibition shows great diversity in artistic approaches, with each portfolio being selected for having a distinct and unique vision.

“With more than 100 photographs, varying from reinterpretations of advertorial photography to socially engaged series, conceptual photojournalism and several photo-objects, the exhibition showcases a new generation of inspiring artists who deploy their skills to address topics ranging from urgent political events to playful reflections on the nature and history of the photographic medium.” – Foam
As well as New York, the Foam Talents exhibition will also be on display in London from 18 May to 18 June. Location: Beaconsfield Gallery, Vauxhall. An overview of all 24 portfolios can be found in Foam Magazine, issue 45, accompanied by opinions from leading international experts.
