In Taghazout in the south-west of Morocco, a former village used for warehousing fishing equipment has become the perfect hub for work and play. SunDesk offers a working environment with an authentic Moroccan feel, offering fast internet, a ready-made co-working community, a comfortable place to sleep and a base from which to experience Moroccan culture. Morocco enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year, making the name ‘SunDesk’ genuinely apt.
As for the ‘play’ part of visitors’ stays, Taghazout is surrounded by mountains and is home to world famous surfing spots. The beach is just five minutes away, while the village of Taghazout has a few small shops and restaurants serving Western and traditional Moroccan cuisines. It’s an ideal location from which to explore Morocco’s spirited culture as well as to enjoy plenty of adventurous outdoor activities. Due to a partnership with a local surf school, it’s also possible to plan a work and surf experience for just €25 per day.
Approximately ten people can work and live at SunDesk at a time. Shared apartments come with single, double and shared twin rooms, each with its own bathroom and kitchen. Single rooms including office space cost €30 per day, while doubles or shared rooms with office space cost around €20 per person per day. Co-workers receive their own desk and access to a large terrace with an amazing ocean view, where breakfast is also served every day except Sundays. There’s also a private Skype room, a chill-out area, drinking water and fresh fruit.
