The expense of renting an office in London makes it an impossible proposition for many small and start-up businesses, but this isn’t the only reason co-working spaces in London are so popular.
With ready-made networks of entrepreneurs and freelancers working in related industries, many self-employed Londoners find co-working spaces give them business networks, a social circle and that elusive creative buzz to help propel their business forward.
Here are two of our favourite spots in London:
This co-working space can be found in two east London locations, including one at the Google Campus. Its locations at the heart of east London’s technology cluster position it well in the start-up scene, while the events calendar and networking opportunties are brimful. The #TechTuesday Demo night is great for telling others in the TechHub community about your ideas and getting their feedback. TechHub partners also run competitions every now and again for start-ups to win cash for their business. The co-working space has 24/7 access, free coffee and toast. Membership with a fixed desk in a shared space costs £330 per month, and also allows access to other TechHub locations.
